Our Toby is almost 7 yrs old now and he has been a house-dog his whole life. He is my dh's ears as dh has been totally deaf 8 yrs now. He is our 2nd lab as we have only had 1 at a time. Certainly glad that you joined us.
Trust God, believe in yourself, and keep looking forward. You can't change the past. You are always special.

Well I can already tell this is a great group...I'm blessed with California's sunshine and I'm afraid I take my being able to walk for granted. Hadn't thought about how it must be for lab owners in the rest of the country and especially with the cold this year. I say lots of bones and chew toys to deal with all that restless energy. When it rains here, Sophie loves to go outside and dig mud holes (groan) then come back inside with a perfectly black face up to her ears....I imagine she'd love the snow too!
Thank you for the welcomes! Sophia is my first lab...I've always been a dog owner but I've never felt the way I feel about this dog...there's just something about her...those eyes?... And yes, she is a young and very active dog. She gets walks with me at least 4 days a week and dog park with a group of dogs three times a week...otherwise she'd probably be eating my couch:)
Hi there & welcome to you & Sophia! Enjoy your wonderful exercise buddy. Young dogs are just bursting with energy.
That's wonderful news about being a breast cancer survivor. How's your energy level?
My Bosco is now 11 1/2 & his exercise days are long over. Poor boy moves so slowly he's almost going backwards. LOL He's still a puppy in his giant heart, although his body is failing him. Dogs are the best, no matter what speed they do.
Best of luck to you with your weight loss. Looks like you're off to a great start. I don't get to this team too often due to my very hectic schedule, but I'm always tickled when I get here & read the posts I've missed. to you, my lab-loving pal!

Hi! I've been working on this diet with SP since October and am glad to have found this team. Sophia (yellow lab) is my walking partner and what lovely company she is! She's two years old and we got her as a baby. She came to me with a pink ribbon around her neck and it was instant love. I'm a breast cancer survivor and that pink ribbon did my heart good. Now she keeps me on track because if I don't exercise...watch out! It's always a good thing to keep Sophia exercised :) I'm finally jumping into the blogs and need to get this weight off to build my confidence about my health. Looking forward to hearing your lab stories.........
