Welcome TJ & Clyde! I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your other Lab last year. We're never ready to part with our furry kids. Both of my dogs are 11+ now & I dread what could happen at any time. I try to take each day as it comes & hope they live to a ripe old age.
How wonderful that you've found the warm, fuzzy love of a dog again with Clyde. I truly feel we honor the memories of our departed pets when we give a second chance at life to another animal in need.
I'm totally impressed with your mile long walks...that's fantastic! I've recently started walking about 3 miles a day several days a week, but can't take either of my geriatric dogs as they'd never make it.
Nice to meet you!

Welcome TJ. Just jump right in and join the crowd. We do love our labs (and other pets too).
Trust God, believe in yourself, and keep looking forward. You can't change the past. You are always special.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
I'm new here. Have been on sparkpeople for a few years, but I've never been active in a "team" yet. I have a 4 YO black Lab who walks with me 2 miles a day - a mile every morning and again every evening. I adopted him (Clyde...he came with that name!) a year ago from the humane society after losing my 11 YO black Lab to bone cancer. :( Saddest time of my life! Anyway, I'm looking forward to being a part of this team and chatting with other Lab lovers who are with me on the fitness journey!
