Oh I do love Chef Meg's recipes on here. They are easy for me, because I am a horrible cook. emoticon

Luckily I have learned how to eye ball my portions but I do like my food scale still.

Again thank you guys for the advice.

Welcome to SP and to this SparkTeam. IF you're wanting to eat healthy, learn more about cooking be sure & look at the recipes posted here and by Chef Meg.

Also, I completely agree about investing in a digital scale to weigh your food - it certainly helps you come to understand portion control & the like.

Another idea on learning more about cooking would be for you & your boyfriend to take some cooking classes together - do an internet search on line for classes offered in your area - you'd be surprised what you can find. It'll be fun AND you can learn some great skills!

A tip for you: buy a food scale. Makes logging your food so much easier. After a while measuring your food, you will be able to eat out and eye ball portions better.

my sister walks 15,000 steps a day at 63 years old and has lost 100 pounds.

i gave up grain and sugary products and have lost 44 pounds at age 60.

we are both still loosing weight until we reach our goal

1. I live in Mississippi.
2. I am from different parts of the South.
3. I have been with someone for almost 7 years, so you could say we are pretty much married.
4. I don't have any kids.
5. I have an indoor cat named Snow and several outside animals.
6. I love to read, write and draw and I enjoy crafts.
7. I just started spark in June of 2012.
8. I am cooking for 2 people.
9. This team can help me to learn to cook only what I need for me and my boyfriend. I am tired of not knowing what to cook or having waste. I come from a big family so that is what I am used to cooking. I need to fix that and only cook for 2.
10. I am a nice person.
