Hello everyone! I am a 57 year old LPN who needs to lose about 50 pounds. Not the heaviest Ive been but certainly far from healthy. I weigh about 195 pounds and need to get to 145. Im up for the challenge with the good Lord and my friends supporting me. I am Single and live with my dog and 3 rescue cats in a very small town...Clyde, Ohio. I work for a local Hospice organization as well as a Long Term Care center. With all the running I do at work one would think I would be healthy...not so...its the junk food and sweets I consume. I have degenerative joint disease and arthritis in just about all my joints and back so exercising is a challenge. I have 6 Granddaughters and my first Grandson is due to arrive anyday now!

I've been looking around at the groups and since its just me and my husband at home and I love cooking I thought this might be a good fit.
ETA: He's out of town for the next six weeks so I'll only be cooking for one and am leaning more toward vegetarian type dishes while he's away to help expand my recipe collection in that area. Hoping to get to know you all soon!
