I'm new to Sparkpeople and so far am really impressed with the vast array of available tools and support! The hardest thing with changing your entire lifestyle and mindset is taking that first leap of faith. I've battled my weight my entire life. I just figured it was my lot in life to be the "fat girl". Now that I'm edging closer and closer to 40, I'm not willing to go to my grave as the "fat girl". I'm sick and tired of that title. I'm sick and tired of my weight being the first thing people notice about me. There's more to me than my size (no pun intended!). I'm afraid to try and fail...again...but I'm not willing to let fear of failure make me a slave to complacency anymore. It's superrrr easy to sit on my butt, sharing a blood supply with my couch and eating too much. It's harder to extract myself from what's comfortable and easy. I'm hoping that, with the tools and support offered on this site I can finally make those crucial first steps toward the life I want, instead of settling for the life I have. Hopefully, I can find my Spark!
