Hi and welcome to the team.

Dorothy

If you tell God no because He won't explain the reason He wants you to do something, you are actually hindering His blessing. But when you say yes to Him, all of heaven opens to pour out His goodness and reward your obedience. What matters more than material blessings are the things He is teaching us in our spirit.

Welcome to this Team! Yes, we do understand food cravings. We actually have a gluten-free pizza place
in Tempe, Arizona which is the next city to where we live. I found out that Barros pizza has gluten-free pizza and ordered a individual one yesterday. It was good. I did not know that UNO pizza has a gluten-free pizza. I will have to look into that. I have hypothyroidism, actually the Hashimotto Hypothroidism. A lot of my friends still do not understand this lifestyle and it is a lifestyle. You will find very friendly, supportive and encouraging people on this Team! Again, Welcome!
GOD BLESS!
Louise

I, too have hypothyroidism. I've found out that the med I was taking is not a good one for us. My endochrinologist just switched me 6 wks ago to Levoxyl from Levothroid. It's digested much better by those who don't digest wheat and glutens.
For the first time in years I think my thyroid is normalizing!!! God is good. I don't miss the pizza so much, but the crusty bread is what I wish for. I have found a bread which makes good toast, so I'm somewhat mollified. It's Udi's whole grain. No Uno's Pizza out here.
I miss the ease of a white sauce mix which I used to make. I don't like corn starch, and I am still working on perfecting sauces. I'm getting there.
Good luck and post often.

emoticon SVANCE62,

Glad you joined us. It certainly is nice to have a team with others that understand not only about the diet, but also how hard emotionally it can be to deal with symptoms and cravings for real food.

I totally still crave my pizza and bread. Thankfully more places are coming out with gluten-free items. I totally love UNO's pizza.

I also have hypothyroidism - finally under control.

Look forward to getting to know you and if you have any questions about anything, just visit my page and live a comment or spark mail me.

Hello,

I am new to SP but not new to the gf lifestyle. I have been gf for 4 years now. I still want the foods that make me sick because I was much older when diagnosed.

My son was diagnosed with celiac when he was two and I had never heard of it at that point. He is now 22.

We discovered I needed to be gf from a book about hypothyroidism since I also have that.

I am glad to be a part of this group because you understand the complexities of this lifestyle.

You get credit for what you finish, not what you start.
