Hello Kay,
Sorry I am a little late. I am new too and it is sometimes overwhelming. Welcome to the team. Take each day as it comes. Sometimes I really don't want to bother with exercise or worrying about GF but that's when I logon to SparkPeople right away and I have good support at work and home. So far it has worked for me.

Have a GREAT day

Hi Stacey and Dorothy,

Yes, thank you. I think I didn't state my post correctly. I am new to SP but not new to the gluten-free, casein free or soy free diet. My daughter and I were both diagnosed about a year and a half ago and we do pretty well with it. We've had (and I sometimes have) frustration with it but that's only because of cravings -- not because I don't know better! LOL! Thanks for the welcome! ~ Kristin

Hey Kristin. I'm GFCF, too. Once you get into the routine, it's actually second nature. Best of luck to you on your weight loss journey!

Hi and welcome to the team. Yes a gluten free diet is hard but the consequences of eating the food that hurt us is not so fun at all either. I had to up my veggies and protein to get to my calories. I know that there are suppose to be products that are gluten free but some of them still have wheat in them and when I eat them I feel terrible so I just stay away from them or only eat very small amounts of it.

Hi, I'm Kristin. I'm 35, new to this web site and so glad to see a group for gluten free diets! My daughter (4) and I were diagnosed as gluten intolerant and have been folling a GFCF diet for about a year and a half now. Her diet is extremely strict, but I must admit it's a struggle for me to follow it to a "T" lately. I can do fine on it if I'm not ALSO trying to loose weight but the combination of both is really a discipline!! I'm going through a very difficult divorce and the stress gets to me... just when I want to eat something I shouldn't! Thanks for welcoming me to your group. I look forward to chatting with you all! ~ Kristin
