hi my name is sherry i had a full hysterectomy oct 2005 i was on hrt for a year and went off do to the health risks so i am fighting the fight without the help of hrt i had been using natural hormone cream which helped somewhat but now i have gone cold turkey not using nothing i am emotional sometimes and have hotflashes quite often and night sweats but i am dealing with it the best i can my mom says i should be getting better soon since it has been 2 years since my surgury..i too have gained alot of weight i dont know if it was from the hysterectomy or being on antidepressiants for 3 years..i read in here were someone said had there thyroid go bananas after having the surgury i would like to talk to that person..i am having symtoms of the thyroid like achey mucles weakness and staying tired all the time no energy but it isnt showing up in my bloodwork as of yet my mom has a underactive thyroid as well i go for more blood work next week and back to the doctor on the 24 to c what the results are this time..last time he said my blood work showed that my thyroid was on the low side of normal whatever that is suppost to mean..well sorry for being so long winded..talk to youll more later..
