I have an Australian Shepherd. He is of the red merle variety. His name is Sergeant Red but we call him Sarge or Sargie. He is a super smart dog. I bought him when he was 10 weeks old and he was practically potty trained when I brought him hold. Since then I have taught him all of his basic commands, how to heel on a leash, and a fist full of "tricks"... he is quite the conversation starter when friends come over. We just celebrated his first birthday not long ago.

I also have 9 aquariums(and getting another one this weekend. I have a variety of fish. African Cichlids, Goldfish, Angelfish, and a range of other freshwater fish.

Make your dreams your Reality!

Dogs have a way of doing that. I know what you mean about the spark censor. I've been censored a few times and I wasn't using profanity either. It amused me.

Our dog had to be put down after 16 years in April. We had said this would be our last pet. I love animals but the pets were more for my husband than me. I'm tired of looking after animals. The thing was I was the one who ended up doing all the caring for it. My husband misses his dog so much that a week ago he came home with another dog. At least I don't have to potty train this one he is two. He has never been taught to sit or come which I'm trying to do now. The dog is a s---z-zu. I tried to put what kind of dog it was and I got a pop up that said no profanity lol. The dog has already wormed it way in to my heart. He is cute and cuddly and very sweet.

Your GSD's were beautiful animals! We've chosen not to replace our pets too, but mostly because it doesn't fit with our chosen lifestyle now. We travel extensively and it doesn't seem fair to the animals to kennel them or to fair to my children (adult) to take over the care when they have their own responsibility. It's tough. The world is indeed our oyster too.

I used to have two beautiful GSD's, Max & Sepp (check out my photo gallery).
We will not be having any more, not that we wouldn't love more but you have to be realistic at our time of life (not that were old) but we were never fortunate to have any 'real' kids so we are on our own, and only ourselves to please. As we are soon to retire, the world is our oyster and as we have always worked we are now looking forward to some travelling. emoticon

I have four lizards--two are anoles and 2 are house gecko's. It works well because during the daytime, the anoles come out to sun themselves, hunt, etc while the gecko's are hiding. At night, the gecko's are out. They are pretty cool to watch actually--except when they eat. I feel badly for the prey--crickets. I also have one fish.
We travel a lot more now that we have an RV so as my other "children" lived out their lives, we didn't replace them. We had a chinchilla, hedgehog, hampsters and a lot of fish. We also had a dog, a "Walt Disney Special" as the vet called her who lived to be 19 years old. I still miss her a lot. My kids do too. I had a red eyed conure and a cockateil. It's strange not having so many animals now but we travel so much it would not be fair to the animals. I keep thinking I should get a little "toy" dog but I haven't convinced my husband yet. I also want to get another leopard gecko--they are so cool. Now I just take care of all the animals in my yard and when I travel, I bring a bird feeder. Those are my other children.
Aren't ya glad you asked?

I have three fur kids
Misty, she is a tabby cat, she is skinny, and active and very lovable. she will be 9 this august.
My boys named her after a character in pokemon

There is her son spook, he is huge, bigger then momma, and acts like a little kitten, loves to be held, and loved. he just turned 5 in April. Misty had 6 kittens (her only batch) and the only thing our oldest son wanted for his 12th birthday was to keep one of the kittens, so my husband agreed...
this is the man who said no animals after we got married and said never will we have 2 cats... LOL
Spook is named after a pokemon character as well

We have one dog, Max. He is a lahso apso cross, he is cute and cuddly, and he was 2 when we adopted him from the pound, he is a great dog, doesnt bark, and is really well behaved... why anyone would give him up is beyond me...
Our cat spook is bigger then our dog... its quite funny looking actually..

Cat

I used to shut the skinny me up with chocolate, now I shut the fat me up with a 4 mile walk

Ok, this kind of goes along with the "Tell us about yourself" topics on every team! What I want to know about is your other children aka...your PETS!

I have two and two! Two kitties-Beethoven is a Silver Tabby cat who is just so beautiful and friendly as can be. He is 6. He is one of those cats that will roll over on his back like a dog so you can rub his tummy! Then there is Bella! I am the only one that likes my 2 y/o crabby abby cat, she is a tortie and man she has that attitude! But she loves me and she sleeps with me every night.

Farva, (SuperTroopers)my dh's dog is a pound puppy, they told us he is half husky and they didn't know whatelse but I think he is half beagle. He is really cute though. At 1 1/2 he hales from KY and it is quite obvious that he was never socialized as a pup. Being so unsocialized led us to get our second dog-Cydnie.

Cydnie is my puppy-she is a 4 month old black lab/blue tic coonhound cross. She follows me around and I swear that she still gets up in the middle of the night (she sleeps in her crate) because she knows she will be able to crash with me after she goes outside. She is the first one at the door when I get home from work and man there is nothing like knowing that someone will be there waiting for you and so eager to see you!

Well, those are my other children! Can't wait to hear about yours!
