Thank you, it is only a couple days away now. i wasnt a runner and it has also been an ugly road for me. It is supose to be in the 20s. but the run is also at noon. Im calling it a run even though it is a race because for me it will just be about finishing :)
I'm a "new" runner as well. I ran my first 5K early this summer and am hooked. Just ran an exhilarating 3.8 miles at a temp of 34 degrees. Like you, this will be my first winter running outdoors. I'm hoping my enthusiasm remains high:^)
Enjoy your fitness journey. For me, it hasn't been easy (especially the running), but it has been so worth it.

I think I enjoy running because of the challenge. Plus I know so many other people that run that it really keeps me going. Besides, if I don't run then what will I do with all of my running clothes? Winter is always a challenge. Just remember to dress a bit warmer and just get out there. The only time I won't run is if it's icey. Then I hop on the treadmill. Also if our windchills are bad I won't go out there either.
Hi Everyone I am a new runner. Ive done a couple 5ks this year and will be attempting a 10k next weekend. I am looking for motivation and buddies to help keep me going through out the winter, and people to share and hear about others journeys.
