Hi! In December, I got some medical news that got me off the couch and walking. I remember telling a friend that I had to quit jogging 17 years ago when I developed a back problem so would "never be a runner". In April, I walked my first 5k race on a very hilly course. In May, I started adding running intervals to my walks. Now I can run 3/4 mile before I have to take a walk break. I'm training for a 10k in September so last weekend I ran 5 miles and loved every minute of it.
I've dropped over 50 pounds and my family says I got my "sparkle" back.
