Good for you, best of luck on your 10K!

Hi!
In December, I got some medical news that got me off the couch and walking. I remember telling a friend that I had to quit jogging 17 years ago when I developed a back problem so would "never be a runner". In April, I walked my first 5k race on a very hilly course. In May, I started adding running intervals to my walks. Now I can run 3/4 mile before I have to take a walk break. I'm training for a 10k in September so last weekend I ran 5 miles and loved every minute of it.

I've dropped over 50 pounds and my family says I got my "sparkle" back.

First 5k -April 2013
10k - Sept 2013 1:23:00 / May 18, 2014, 1:00:26 / Sept 7,2014 55:21 / May 17, 2015 52:23 PR
Half Marathon - Oct 5, 2014 2:10:32 / Oct 4, 2015. 2:05:44 / Aug 13, 2016 2:12:45 / Oct 9, 2016 2:06:55 / Sept 3, 2017 2:05:06 PR

Initial goal weight reached 12/10/13. Still maintaining 90 lbs lost as of Sept 2017
