Hi!
In December, I got some medical news that got me off the couch and walking. I remember telling a friend that I had to quit jogging 17 years ago when I developed a back problem so would "never be a runner". In April, I walked my first 5k race on a very hilly course. In May, I started adding running intervals to my walks. Now I can run 3/4 mile before I have to take a walk break. I'm training for a 10k in September so last weekend I ran 5 miles and loved every minute of it.

I've dropped over 50 pounds and my family says I got my "sparkle" back.

First 5k -April 2013
10k - Sept 2013 1:23:00
May 18, 2014, 1:00:26
Sept 7,2014 55:21
First Half Marathon - Oct 5, 2014 2:10:32

10k PR - 55:21 September 7, 2014

Initial goal weight reached Dec 10, 2013 (80 pounds lost)
90 pounds lost as of Feb 18, 2014.
100 pounds lost as of May 2014
