Thanks for the welcome. My 2.5 miles is in thirty minutes though, twenty minutes running and ten minutes walking, hoping to build up though. Your right faster will come, right now I'm just trying to build up endurance. When I first starting running I could barely run a minute now I can run twenty, and it may not be fast, but I did it.

Welcome aboard! No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping the guy on the couch! ;) You're out there. More than most people do. Good for you! Speed will come (or not) in time. No one becomes world-class overnight. Enjoy your journey!

Hello I'm a mom of three and fairly new to running. I have recently lost about eighteen pounds from working out and am almost through with week 6 of a c25k program. Right now I can run about 2.5 miles and can run for about twenty minutes. I've got endurance, but I'm slow that is what I need to work on. I would like to try my first 5k in June, I think I can do it by then.
