Hi Elizabeth and welcome! I'm new to this team too, but it's a real welcoming and open group.
Congrats on signing up for the 10k! I'm doing my first one in March so will definitely make sure to give you a report on it. :)

Elizabeth, congrats on signing up for your first its a fun distance to run! I'll bet you can probably do it now (since you're fit from the 5k's) but depending on your goals you might want to increase your long run distance a bit. Going longer in training helps give me confidence to run hard during the race, but I can be a bit competitive ;-)
Enjoy the training and best of of luck on your race! Naomi

Hi Everybody, I just joined the team.
I have been an avid runner for some time but haven't always been consistent. I am hoping that if I trim down I will get faster and be less prone to injury. I have run 3 half marathons (for those who haven't heard of the "half wit half marathon" in PA it is CRAZY, I couldn't sit for ~ 3 days) and one 10-mile race. Hopefully the weight I will lose (14 more lbs) will translate into me running like the wind as opposed to the chuffle.

Hi Elizabeth - I'm new to this team myself, and just started running last year. I did a Spartan Sprint, and did a 5K at the Toronto Scotia Waterfront marathan and I'm hooked now. I'm looking fwd to signing up for an easy-ish 5K end of March and a harder 5K trail run mid April...and then I'm looking for a 10K to try my hand at.

Welcome to the team! The 10K can seem quite intimidating, but it is a nice step up to running longer distances. I wish you all the best.

Welcome to the team. It sounds like you have a wealth of valuable experience with all the 5Ks you ran last year and I know someone can help you with 10K advice. Only 10K I ran was embedded in a HM so I'm not sure I'll be much help.

My name is Elizabeth and I am new to the team. I ran 12 5ks last year (1 each month) and this year my new challenge is to run a 10k in late April. I am hoping to get some great information from you all. Happy running! ~Z
