I'm new to the site and joined the Road Runners because I love running. I've been running about 2 years and have completed 5K's, a few half marathons and a marathon. After training consistently for 2 years, I had to take a break from running because my mind/body were telling me to and my heart wasn't in it anymore. I was also working through an injury and have been seeing a podiatrist.
I'm so happy to report that today, I completed 30 minutes of running and had very little pain in my feet as a result of new customized inserts that the doctor prescribed. I'm slowly breaking them in. I'm hoping to keep this momentum going and I would really love to do another race in this fall, with a goal of a marathon in the spring/early summer.
