Kathy ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever. ~Lance Armstrong ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Helen - welcome to the team and congratulations on running your first Half this weekend. I, too, will be running my first half but on December 7. I, too, am recovering from an injury so I know how you feel.
PS - I love the picture of the tortoise!

I've been running for a year now and have recently been suffering with a leg injury! It's healed and well again and I have been running short distances as not to cause it any problems. So far so good. I simply love running and the feeling afterwrads. It's great!
This time last year I ran my first race that I was totally unprepared for. I almost came last in a 5k. On the same day some half marathoners set off.
I told myself there and then that I would run that half marathon by next year. I have signed up for it and will be running it this Sunday. Woo Hoo! I can't wait. I have teamed up with some great ladies to run with. It should be a blast. The only sad thing is I won't be competeing for time since I haven't trained properly due to the injuries. Just getting round will make me happy.
