It is really nice to run in Shenley Park which is right near the law school, which was one of my favorite runs in college! (Not running at night, just daylight) Glad you are coming to Pittsburgh. I loved visiting Washington State and I hope you enjoy Pittsburgh!

Hooray! Welcome to the team. Since you like the outdoors you are in a great spot! There are lots of great resources for outdoor activity, mainly Venture Outdoors www.ventureoutdoors.org which has events scheduled all year round! I am a member and it is great fun!

Thanks! I'm still not very clear on the areas, but I'm looking somewhat close to Pitt because my boyfriend is starting at the law school this fall. We're looking at about 25 places in two days, so it'll be a bit of a whirlwind trip!
I already know that I'm going to have a tough time watching what I eat with all of the restaurants there!

So I'm not technically a Pittsburgh resident yet, but I'm excited to be so I figure "why not join now?"
I'm currently in Washington State, but I am moving to Pittsburgh in about two months! I am very excited and I hope to learn from this group not only about fitness in Pittsburgh but also about the city itself! I'll be in the city over the next week to look at houses - and I know that coming back to my current home will be more than annoying. ;)
Fitness-wise, I'm on the ChaLEAN Extreme program for building muscle since I don't have reliable access to a gym and can't afford a trainer right now. It's something I can easily transfer to my new situation and it's fun. I also do a variety of cardio, mostly outside due to the nice weather I have here.
