Gresham is a good place if you want to do a lot of walking. The Springwater Corridor trail and the Fairview-Gresham trail are both awesome, probably my favorite thing about the area. There's also a nice path around the Glendoveer golf course in SE Ptld, at 148th/Glisan.

Angie, I do recommend the cookbook, yes. I have to admit though, my husband is retired and does the majority of the cooking - so for me to say the recipes are very easy and simple to follow would sound like a bit of a stretch LOL It's true though. We try new dishes and if we like them, we add them to our rotation.
It's also available for Kindle or other eReaders, if that's more to your liking.

Thanks Candy! I'm pretty sure I will be on here often looking for support and looking to give support. This site is amazing! I see next to your name it says "I bought the SP cookbook", what do you think of it? I like to cook, but I stick to more simple recipes. Would you recommend it?

I'm looking to lose 99 lbs. I'm a SAHM to a 13yr. old daughter. I am going to have to lose all this weight through mainly walking and healthy as I have Fibromyalgia and that makes exercise pretty hard. I'm also diabetic and trying to get healthy enough to get rid of my twice daily insulin injections. I'm looking for walking buddies! I'm super committed to reaching my goals.
