Hi Laura welcome to the team! We'll be glad to have you as part of the community.
We try to have a group activity every now and again, although I admit I'm a bit behind in my duties lately. I'm hoping to get a walk or other activity scheduled soon though, and it would be great if you can join in.
I'm going to drop a link here for another Spark group. One of our Portland teammates started the group for people in the Beaverton area, for support closer to home.
All the best on your upcoming move!

Welcome to our city. I hope that your moving will go smoothly and safely.
Welcome. There's a great support group here. If your interested in anything specific, just let us know. I am more in the running, but there are lots of people here that do different things.
Hope you have a safe move here.
Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul
Hi hi hi :) My name is Laura. I've been off sparkpeople for a while due to some time issues that have come up lately. But I'm going to be going back to being a stay at home mom again after this month and will be online a ton more. I'm moving to Beaverton at the end of the month and know NOBODY there so I'm hoping to find some people to go workout with or hang out with when I get up there. I've lost 103 lbs but most of it was because of my support team here in Texas, I'm hoping to have one up there too. :)
