hello! In the subject-line, "New" is in quotes because I apparently joined this group at the end of 2009! Who knew? Not me!
During the past 2 years I've struggled with being diagnosed with Graves' Disease, hyperthyroidism, and all that goes along with the disease. Now that my thyroid is getting back to normal (I hope, crosses fingers), so is my metabolism. I've put on about 15 pounds on my already overweight body in the past 2 months, my self-esteem has plummeted and my freakin' pants don't fit! I'm looking for ways to build my motivation, get active and to help others with their journey, as well.
Let's see, here are my deets: 38, live on the East side, work from home and love doing outdoorsy-type things (it's getting off the couch that is challenging for me!), thrifting and cooking.... I've got a membership at the 24-hour Fitness on McGloughlin, if anyone is interested in meeting up.
I look forward to interacting more with this great group.
