I loved kickboxing! My class at the Rec center got dropped from their offerings in favor or more Zumba. Zumba was fun, but I just really loved kickboxing. I'm in SE Portland now and would love to find another inexpensive option to take a class again.

Hello - I am new to the board here. I was introduced to SparkPeople by a fellow Commit To Be Fit member from Fierce Fitness in Portland, Oregon. I am finishing my first 6 week cardio-kickboxing program there this week and joined for the next 12 weeks. My goals are to dramatically improve my health and quality of life by increasing my fitness level, getting strong - especially my core, and losing 50-60 pounds in the process. I am 43, married with 2 great kids who are 7 and almost 10. I work part-time, volunteer extensively at the kids' school (PTA prez even). I look forward to the inspiration of chatting with like-minded folks here!
