Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it's a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they're terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

Hi there fellow health enthusiasts. Until about 8 weeks ago my motto in life was better to be fat and happy and live to be 60 than skinny miserable and 90. As I whining to a friend about my jeans not fitting and the fact that I wouldn't take a cruise right now even if I could because of my figure she pointed out that I don't sound to fat and happy. This got me to thinking that she was right. So I decided I would try a new motto. I am looking to make exercise and dieting fun so I can live healthy and happy and to 90. This site is one of my first steps on that track.
