Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it's a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they're terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul
My name is Candy, and I've been settling into the Spark the last couple of weeks. I'm 42, married to a great guy, living in Portland, OR. My friend turned me on to this site and it took a bit for me to realize that this place is exactly what I needed. I'm in this for the long haul - losing weight, yes, but also improving my health and my life with my husband. I have a sedentary desk job, so the fitness part is a little more of a challenge than eating better and less, and tracking my progress. I'm determined, though. See you around~~~~~~~ C~
