Welcome, LUVBETTY64,
It might be a good thing for you to search the sparkpeople teams and get on a few that support the different physical problems you have. There are so many great teams here each with their own goals, challenges, medical issues, hobbies and interests. You can learn a lot from other members that way and can also share what you know and have experienced. this is what the Spark Teams are all about. And the members will help you get your Sparkpage up and all the other great tracking and social systems put in place. This is an awesome website--no kidding!

If you have any particular questions you can post them on this thread or start a new topic right here on the Portland team.

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. You can personalized your plan for you on the food tracker. it takes a bit to get it set up but is worth it in the long run. Take things slow, add small increases until you are ready to add something new. I do not have celiac but have several food allergies, wheat, dairy, eggs. I have been with SparkPeople since Sept.

HI my name is Lori, I'm a 45 yr old woman who really really loves Betty Boop and I have a lot of her paraphernalia. I'm single and I'm tired of being fat! I have health problems which caused me to be off work for 3+ years now but I'm looking as we speak to return to the work force. I"m a home owner which is a big reason for going back to work. I'm a social worker and I"ve worked with children and families for 17 years in various capacities.
But I have to be honest, I feel completely lost! I joined Paul McKennas group after ordering his books and learning about him watching TV one night. However I was reintroduced by a woman who's on Face book that used his materials and lost 104 pounds! She now has over 1k followers trying to continue her weight loss. This is how I somehow got introduced to this site. I am however going to need personalized food planning because of my intense IBS and celiac's disease and a personal exercise regiment because I have severe arthritis in both knees, plantar fascitis in both feet, sciatica and fibromyalgia. So I have to be careful not immoble like I have been these last years since I've been off work! But today I'm happy to say I took my dog to the park, 2 blks away and I was able to jog back with no current pain! And now I'm thrusty for exercise! I want to ride my stationary bike but I have to go easy and keep it simple! So I will try to find a way to do both sites even though I'm really attracted to earning points just like a kid! BUt hey what ever works! I"m not sure I put too much in this or I didn't put enough about me but I'll trust the process and leave it here. I do look forward to working with this program! However I have an addictive personality and I don't want to get involved with anything where I spend my days on here rather than job seeking or other important things I have to do.
