I'm signing up for a two hour spin class Thursday AM. Will be wiped out by the end.

I also saw the link to the Turkey Trot and will be signing up for the 4 mile walk before sitting down with the mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc.

Without going into a lot of detail, I have measured a lot of my life in "lasts" such as "the last time I weighed x weight" for example. Now, I am in a new phase of my life. I have a new fantastic man who bought me a beautiful new yellow lab and gave me the chance to be a step-mom to two gorgeous girls. I am choosing a healthier lifestyle, including food and activity.

To celebrate this new me, I have just registered for the Turkey Trot at the Zoo (google it and you will find the link...I think it is on this group site as well). Instead of just gorging myself on Thanksgiving, thus kicking off the two-month holiday season of eating until I cannot move, I will walk 4 miles (and then probably overeat a bit) that morning.

This is the first walk/run for me. I challenge you to try something new too...join me on Thanksgiving and create a new tradition for yourself.
