I'm signing up for a two hour spin class Thursday AM. Will be wiped out by the end.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'WOW What a Ride!'"
"Before you can accomplish anything..... you must expect it of yourself"
Excellence is the result of caring more than others think wise, risking more than others find safe, dreaming more than others see as practical and expecting more than oth
What a cool idea! You have the right mind-set to be truly successful in reaching all of your goals!
MUSCLE DOES NOT WEIGH MORE THAN FAT 5 lbs = 5 lbs
5 lbs of muscle simply takes up less space than 5 lbs of fat!
If nothing tasted as good as being thin felt, no one would ever get fat!
FOOD TASTES GOOD
Let us eat it in moderation.
Congrats on registering for the Turkey Trot. What a great new tradition to start the holiday season!
I also saw the link to the Turkey Trot and will be signing up for the 4 mile walk before sitting down with the mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc.

Ticker shows weight starting 10/1/10
Without going into a lot of detail, I have measured a lot of my life in "lasts" such as "the last time I weighed x weight" for example. Now, I am in a new phase of my life. I have a new fantastic man who bought me a beautiful new yellow lab and gave me the chance to be a step-mom to two gorgeous girls. I am choosing a healthier lifestyle, including food and activity.
To celebrate this new me, I have just registered for the Turkey Trot at the Zoo (google it and you will find the link...I think it is on this group site as well). Instead of just gorging myself on Thanksgiving, thus kicking off the two-month holiday season of eating until I cannot move, I will walk 4 miles (and then probably overeat a bit) that morning.
This is the first walk/run for me. I challenge you to try something new too...join me on Thanksgiving and create a new tradition for yourself.
