Migraines can definitely be affected by weather changes. I have suffered from migraines since age 13 and have years of headache diaries that show my triggers....

In the uptown area where we live, we've gotten lots of storming without the rain. We've had some, but the low barometric pressure makes me feel really uck! My doctor didn't believe me that my migraines are caused by pressure lows. Finally, after two others in the same week had the same problem, she believes. me. I really can't avoid the source, as she has been nagging me.
This past year I've been discovering who has gluten free stuff, and at what prices. I'm sulking just a bit, because my sandwich for dinner was made with dense, only tolerable if you toast it GF bread. Yesterday for my birthday, we bought lots of salads and stuff from Costco, and as everyone else loves good bread (I do too, but not the consequences) I bought some lovely olive and rosemary bread. I think Heaven for gluten free folks will have to contain lots of really fresh, crusty bread.
My guys presented me with an herb garden for my birthday. Neither my husband or one of our sons can smell anything. So, they've been asking for suggestions from the nurseries of good smelling stuff. Enter the son who can smell, and whose wife is knowledgeable about such matters. Now, in a month or so, I'll have fresh basil for pesto, oregano, mint, tarragon, rosemary, oregano and garlic chives. Oh, I do love to cook, and fresh herbs will be such a treat!
Hope August is starting off okay for all.

Hi, Kethyar! My weeds, unfortunately, have really made a comeback, but the one good thing about all this rain is it makes them easier to pull! I had bought a box of so-called marigold seeds, but what came up was crabgrass...needless to say, I am NOT amused...
As to drinking water, I realized that I am better about drinking water when I'm work; I forget to drink water on my days off, so that's one behavior I'll have to change ASAP. Gee, no wonder I get so thirsty right before bed...and then I drink a couple liters, go to bed, and wonder why I have to get up during the night...sigh.

lucky! i wish all my WEEDS weren't enjoying the rain too! i have a forest on the side of my house that needs to be pulled!

welcome, kate! i keep a water bottle with me almost everywhere. at work i can fill it up from the filter with cold water. i find when i sit at the computer and surf, play games, zone out, i drink lots of water without thinking about it. the crystal light packets help to add a little bit of flavor now and then. but a splash of juice with lots of water is another great way to vary it up as well! good luck with it!

Greetings, Kate! Just wanted to say howdy, and to wish you all the best in your efforts to getting fit.

Drinking water is a learned taste, I think. I used to drink lots of soda, but when I started paying attention to all the chemicals in it, I just said "whoa" to that, and have been happily drinking plain water ever since. I'll sometimes add a dash of juice (lemon, lime, apple) just to change things up, and I don't use stuff like Crystal Lite (I don't want the artificial sweeteners).
Today was fun, one of my rare days off on a weekend, so I went window shopping with my BF, even though it rained most of the time we were out. My garden is loving the rain!

Hi. My name is Kathy, but I go by Kate on most teams. I live just south of the uptown and Coronado malls.
I am wheat intolerant, which is why I joined this site a year ago. Of course, like most of us, I want to get more fit. I have fibromyalgia and tire easily, but try not to let that get in my way.
I'm a writer, hoping to be published. My four kids are grown, though the two youngest live at home. I love reading, music, people and my two rescue dogs.
I also like to walk and wish I had a tandem bike buddy. Of course, I don't own a tandem, and that's part of the problem!
I saw the water challenge. I know how important that is here, but I don't like water much. I'm trying harder.
Hope all are having a super day.
