Welcome Sharper9! You're wise to start prevention now. I am currently pre-diabetic myself & talking to Sparkpeople members has definitely helped.
They say it takes a village and, what's nice about this team is our close proximity. I've just recently started leading so there aren't a whole lot of community posts - YET. I'll be meeting with a nutritionist tomorrow to show her the ins & outs of this site & she will be a regular contributor to our team. I'm also working on getting a personal trainer to do the same. If you also have any ideas of items that would help you achieve your goals, please let me know.
