Someone to work out with would be great. My session with Brock was today and oh boy am I feeling it! He said I pick up on how to mimic the exercises he gives me though so that meant time actually working out. I'm going to try to budget a few paid sessions with him into the next pay check. I'll probably be there in the afternoons, I'm not a morning person at all. LOL
Brock is a really nice guy. Make sure he gives you a print out of everything you do. Really try and pay attention to technique. It will make a world of difference down the road! Also, tell him what your long and short term goals are. He won't be offended if you tell him you won't be able to work out with him and that you are looking for a good base to get started! Communication is the key here!!
I work out at 24 hour also! I try and hit them on Monday and Wed afternoons. I also go on Thursday and Sunday mornings.
Please don't be intimated by others!! They are going their to work out. They are not judging you!!! I was in your shoes 10 years ago. I hated the idea of going to the gym, but I knew it was the right thing to do.

Hi, I'm Shannon and I just turned 40 at the end of December.
My whole life I have been thin and toned without really ever working out or watching what I ate. Awhile back I was put on an anti-depressant. The "may cause weight gain" side effect was an understatement. I was hungry all the time. Even if I was so full I felt sick, I still felt hungry. I gained ten pounds a month. I went from 125-130 pounds to 180 pounds. I started avoiding having to see myself naked in mirrors. I started wearing baggier shirts to hide my stomach. And I kept saying "I'll start working out tomorrow". Until I saw the pictures from my birthday dinner. I was shocked and disappointed in myself and how I looked. So, last night I joined 24 Hour Fitness and I have my fitness evaluation with Brock tomorrow. I can't afford their personal training fees so I hope he gives me a good start to go with. My goal is to work out every other day and to start being more careful with what I eat and how much I eat. I am tracking my food here. It's just after lunch and I only have 500 calories left to be able to eat. Oy. This is going to be hard.
I'd love to meet other people who work out at 24 Hour, I will be there in the afternoons and a workout buddy would be nice. I feel so intimated looking at all of those buff bodies and big muscles in there.
