heeheehee...the biggest reason I don't play is the ice is cold! All the guys in my family play (hubby + 2 sons) so I spend half my life in a rink. You'd think I'd be accustomed to it. Not so. Give me a huge cup of coffee and my Dallas Stars blanket to sit on and I'm good!
Welcome to the team.

Hello and welcome!
Hello All-I'm Jess in Seattle. I'm in my mid-twenties and just finishing my first season playing co-ed rec hockey.
Believe it or not, this time last year I couldn't name an American hockey team or Hockey player, and had never seen a hockey game--not even on TV. I was inspired by a group of friends to take up playing the sport and it's been great for me and my health! I'm a big fan now--even even not for the usual reasons.
(My big excuse for not working out was always that I don't like getting too warm... I love the climate control of ice rinks!)
