Hi Everyone, Im new to SP and I live in NORTH Ga. I'm looking for support and friends with common interest. I have a small dog I like to walk. I have started walking 5 min/running 1 min for a mile and walking 1 mile. My goal is to lose 20-25 lbs. I'm 47 and have gained this weight in the past 4 years by not working and doing nothing! I'm tired of feeling judged, insecure, ugly and frumpy. I want to be healthy again and love myself. Wish me luck!!

Hi, I'm new to this group and re-joined SP about a month ago....have about 20-30 pounds to lose to be in optimal weight/health for me. Recently began jogging/walking to re-energize and re-build my confidence; also modified my diet these past several weeks. Oy, what a challenge but It's getting better day by day and I find SP reeeeeally helps keep me in the right mindframe.

Hey everybody. I'm new to this. I live in the west end. Work from home/drive a lot for work and I'm having trouble getting myself into a routine for work and exercise. Since I started working from home I've gained a lot of weight and I'm not happy with it.

I need a work out buddy. Whether it's walking or playing basketball or skating I don't even care I just need a buddy to help me get into the swing of things and hold each other accountable.

I would prefer outdoor things and to work out/exercise in the morning. Let me know if you're interested!!!

I've been going to the gym 4 days a week. Or at least trying too. I really don't like working out! I have to drag myself there most days! Other than that, I'm watching what I eat. And that's not too hard.

Hi SPACEMOMMY! Welcome to the group. What are some things that you are doing to lose weight? 20 pounds sounds like a great goal. It's gorgeous outside today, so I'm hoping to take a jog around my neighborhood and then do some quick push ups when I get back to the house.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the group, but not to weight loss! I've been up and down and on and off diets for 10 years now. I never seem to have the motivation to keep on going! This time it's different though. I'm trying to lose weight so that I can we can start trying for baby #2!

A little about me...I'm in my 30s, married with one kid, a boy who is 10 and 3 cats and we live in the Dallas/Hiram area. I'm a stay at home mom and a big ol' nerd hehe...I love computer games, tabletop games, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Game of Thrones (the books more than the show), reading in general, and all kinds of crafts. I've got 50lbs to lose but I'm starting small, so right now I'm trying for 20. I'm excited to start meeting people on here going through the same stuff!

I'm not on Sparkpeople much because I work full time, own my own non-profit health and wellness ministry as well as a try to maintain a private Facebook support page. But I'm always looking for people to help motivate and who can help keep me on track as well. I don't think there's any such thing as too much support. Especially when it comes to health and fitness. Hi Everyone. I am new to spark page, I am on here for motivation and looking for ways to get my weight down. I am currently at 220 with a permanent goal of 150, I know this will not be an overnight journey but I want to make this the best journey in life. I stay in the Atlanta area so if anyone who knows of fitness groups please refer me..... My husband started out as motivation on this journey but has since fell off the band wagon, so having a partner with the same goals would be awesome....

Nice to meet you. I'm always up for meeting and motivating. I also need motivation. I feel like I've been in hibernation this winter and am itching to get back on track. I'm not much of a gym person, but I love the great outdoors. I'm a fitness walker and would love to go hiking, walk Stone Mountain, etc. I also like to bike ride, although I'm an amateur. There are plenty of parks around here that we could meet at. I'm a morning person and love to get up and get at it early. I'm flexible most evenings during the week after 6, Saturday afternoons and most of the day on Sunday. What's your schedule like?

Hello to all, my name is Belinda. I live in Duluth/border Lawrenceville area. I have been on spark for years. It would be great to have someone in the area who works out and wouldn't mind being a little motivation. I've been struggling with this weight for years. Goes up and down but it's getting harder with age so it's got to go for good. I enjoy working out at LA fitness. Love the different classes and even have fun doing different 5 k's. Hi friends. I'm new (again) to Spark. I live in L'ville and am looking to join forces with others who are on a weight-loss journey. I'm an emotional eater with a binge eating disorder and weight has been an issue my whole life.
