I am a 56 year old fat and sassy refilled empty nester needing to lose 50+ pounds for my heart and asthma health. I am a veteran of yo-yo dieting- 70's college weight watchers (liver twice a week and public weigh ins), Atkins, starvation, fat blockers, phen-fen, phen-pro (NO work), LA Weight Loss and back to Weight Watchers. Fell off the wagon AGAIN and medicated myself after several untimely deaths in the family. Met for the first time this week with a RD who told me about this site. I am now counting calories and food exchange groups for the first time and back to exercising (used to be a runner in a previous pre-babies life, now walk). Hope you all can help keep me on the straight and narrow. Must lose 8 # by next RD appointment on 10/26 and 20 # by my next cardiologist appointment 12/26. YIKES!
