Welcome. I would say that you should just set a little time aside each day or each week to explore the site. There is a ton of stuff here. And, if I think about using it all, I'm overwhelmed. Don't worry about doing it all (getting all the points you can, blogging, commenting, doing several challenges, setting personal goals, etc.)
Just explore and do a couple things at a time.

Hi, Just checking out the site. Lots of good info thus far. Havent really entered a lot of info into the trackers yet. Looks like i might give this a try and see if it works for me. If anyone has any great timesaving ideas , that would be great as i see there are a lot of areas to check out yet on here. Thanks
