Welcome to Sparkpeople! You will find alot of motivation on this site. I have found this site very helpful to my weight loss. I have been a member for years but never committed to it until sept 2012. since then this site has been there for me. Helps track your food, exercise and all of the stories on here gave me hope and the weight started coming off it feels great. I hope you find this site as helpful as I have. I recently received a fitbit ultra and it is really helping me keep track of how many calories im supposed to intake for the day. definitely helps the process of weight loss. Good luck on your journey!

Happy New year everyone! I am 52 years old and am joining to lose weight, be more consistent with exercise. Could sure use some support as I have difficulty with staying motivated. I have had problems with weight off and on, but as I get older I do find it is easier to gain and harder to lose. I want to stop yo-yo dieting and lead a healthy lifestyle. Look forward to being part of your community!
