Hello!!! My name is Elise & I live in NJ!!!!!! I'm 61 years old & a heart patient. I'm on Weight Watchers & starting to lose gradually every week. There are weeks when I gain a little or when the scale doesn't move but I'm determined to lose. I need to lose about 75 pounds. I thought by joining a challenge it would help me do it. Hello everyone! My name is Crissy. I'm 30, been married 10 years to my amazing husband, have 2 children (9 year old son, 2 year old daughter), and I've been blessed with the ability to be a stay at home mother.
I've joined SparkPeople because I'm so tired of being unhealthy and not being comfortable in my skin. When I started, I weighed 220 lbs and I have so far managed to lose 20 lbs. My goal is to weigh 100 lbs. which would put me at a healthy BMI for my very small height of 5' 1".
I can't wait to get to know you all and watch you all accomplish all of your goals and then some!

Hello all! My name is Jael, I'm 21 years old and I have 25 pounds to lose. I am already down 22 pounds, and I have been at a plateau for the last six weeks. I'm hoping that this will help me to push through it and reach a place where I start to lose some weight again. My goal is to get to my goal weight of 165 by my 22nd birthday, September 7th.

I'm a 30 year old woman who is lucky enough to have been married to my amazing husband for almost 11 years. I've been blessed with 2 children (boy and a girl) and am currently living in southern Kentucky.
As of right now, I'm weighing in at 100 lbs over a healthy weight for my height. It's so hard for me to write that because quite frankly, it's embarrassing that I've allowed myself to go this far. I've made excuses...heck, I'm pretty sure that I'm the Queen of the Excuses, but at the end of the day, I have absolutely no one to blame except for myself.
My goals is to simply exercise daily and to eat within my calorie limits. My hope is to lose all 100 lbs by January of 2017. But most importantly, I pray that I begin a healthy lifestyle. I'm so tired of being...tired.
I can't wait to meet you all and watch you accomplish all of your goals along this journey!

I am a senior citizen, have gained and lost so much over time. I have been a member of Spark for a few years. Lost and gained 10 lbs. Now I have gained way over that. I have about 50 lbs. to lose.

Hello! I'm a personal/private chef, mother of 3 and a busy person overall!

I went Vegetarian/Vegan back in 2012, shed 35 pounds and gained most of it back when I fell off the wagon in 2013. As of February 1, 2014 I was around 218 pounds and wanted to lose 65 pounds by years end to reach 150. I have since changed my overall goal to March 2015, whereas I feel that's more realistic.

As of TODAY, I am 169 pounds. I've been fluctuating in the 167-169 range lately and haven't been able to get out of the 160s.

My exercise program is currently Hip Hop Abs. I have become a Beachbody coach over the past months so I solely do Beachbody programs right now but I am open to knew workouts and methods.

Hello! I joined SparkPeople last year, used the food tracker and exercised regularly, lost 10 pounds, then went off and gained them back. I've returned having learned that I need to do everything I can and use the tools generously available here, NO excuses, to reach my goal of 45 pounds weight loss. I'm aiming for 1/2 to 1 pound weekly. I didn't gain the excess pounds overnight but hope that with dedication, keeping the vision of myself at target weight, and with encouragement I'll reach goal within a year. I'd really like to connect with some Sparklers who are also seriously committed to weekly weigh-ins, regular exercise, use of SP tools like the food tracker, and are willing to be accountable with me as I would be with them.

My name is April and I live in central Missouri. I have had a goal of losing weight for way too many years. I'm not a yo-yo'er but more of a stable, slow gainer. I fluxuate a few pounds here and there but mostly stay within the 5-10 pound range. I have found the older I get the harder it is to lose.

I try to stay very active although I sit at a desk on most workdays. I enjoy exercise but have a difficult time finding consistency. I do NOT do well on my own. Group classes are the best for me. Boot Camp has been very successful in the past but it's very costly and therefore, I don't stick with it for very long periods of time.

I am hoping to find that special kick in the butt to get me going and stay on track. Losing 1-2 pounds per week would be awesome. A workout buddy to push me would be awesome, too. For now, I'll just work on finding that little voice within that will whoop me into shape.

Hi everyone! My name is Samantha - I'm 33 years old and I live in South Africa. I have been married to my best friend for 3 and years now and we are looking at starting a family mid next year. I need to lose about 50 pounds to be at my healthy BMI range. I have lost weight before but tight work schedules got in the way leading to me going from a very active lifestyle to a mostly sedentary one. I'm a 29 year old woman who has been married to my wonderful husband for 10 years. God has blessed us with 2 children. Our son who is 9 and our daughter who is 1. We live in the southern part of Kentucky, but I was born and raised in a small, farming community about 45 min out of Cincinnati, Ohio.

I've always had a hard time with my weight. I always hoped I would grow out of my whole "chunky" stage and I did...just not the way that I was hoping. I grew right out of my "chunky" stage into my current "obese" stage. As of right now, I need to lose around 110 lbs to get to a healthy BMI. Huge task, but with my family's support, you all cheering me on, and God helping me, I know that I can do this!

Hubby and I are working to lose 60 lbs over the next year. He has a severely damaged heart and is on a very low calorie/ low sodium plan and I'm doing the same plan with him. Since Sept. 13th, he's down 23 lbs and I'm down 13 lbs.

Hi everyone! emoticon I'm Elaine and I have been at this now since starting Sparks in 2008. I would lose some, then gain some back. Back and forth on the scale. Back and forth on motivation. Stuck in plateaus.... I have seemed to see it all!

I think I finally found my niche though and feel like I am making some real good progress. It really is all that you put into your mouth and tracking is the key to success in my opinion. Also, believing in yourself is huge! Believing that you can do it. That you can push harder. That you can say no to that dessert.

I am here to finish what I started and finally reach my goal of getting to maintenance mode. Not only do I want to see results on the scale and with my appearance but I also want to see fitness results. Like running a faster 5k, running my first marathon, etc....

I am a mother of 3 kids ages 14, 13, and 10. I have been married to my husband now for 15 years and love the life we are living. I work full time and then get to carpool my kids in the evenings. This leaves very little time for me but I make it work! I workout during my lunch break and then sometimes in the evenings if time allows.

That's a little (or a lot...LOL) about me!

Hi Susan! I've realized that tracking food is key. Just today ,I thought I made myself a healthy breakfast burrito, and then i entered it in and realized it was 400 calories.... whoops. I start to understand better where I need to cut calories to stay within the range.

I'm going to Europe too! Next week actually, pending this volcano issue :( Where are you headed? I'm [hopefully] going to Ireland !

Hi! My name is Michelle. I joined SparkPeople back in 2011 and have been up and down with my weight a lot since (usually "up" when I stop using SparkPeople and "down" when I use it consistently (you would think I would learn).

Anyway, I decided that my problem in the past has been that I've set a goal and once I got there, I wasn't sure what to do. This time, my goal includes STAYING in my goal weight range for at least a year (once I get there). The first 6 months were very slow. Part of that was due to a surgery in March so I'm cutting myself some slack.

I found this team last week and I'm very happy I joined. I can focus on losing a pound (or an inch) a week. I'm looking forward to the upcoming challenge!

Hey Team! I'm a 26 year old nursing student with two young kids- 8 and 4. I have been a sparkmember for more than a year and I haven't tracked and exercised like I should have. I thought I was ready then, but I wasn't ready to commit. I am now! What's different? I don't know and I don't care. I still have the same reason I started off with, but now, I'm just ready. This past week I managed to lose 6 pounds! My goal is to lose 1 pound per week so that by then end of the summer I have lose 15 pounds and I am well on my way. I have 66 pounds left to go. I don't expect every week to be that amazing, but if I can lose at least one pound per week. I can be at my goal weight of 160 by my goal date which is 12/31/2015. I know that I can do it with God's Grace!
I weigh in every Sunday morning, first thing. So I'll make sure to post the result on here! Last week I started at 232. Today I am 226! Woo-hoo! Let's GO!

Eat, Laugh, Pray, Love and of course Live Long and Prosper!

Hello everyone! I'm a 29 year old woman who has been married for 10 years. We have been blessed with 2 children, a 9 year old son and a 1 year old daughter. I've always been on the "chunky" side, but after giving birth to my son, I gained a lot of weight. It wasn't until after giving birth to my daughter that I weighed my heaviest...220 lbs. I was shocked that I had allowed myself to get like this. Shocked and disgusted. I've now lost 15 lbs, but I know that I have a very long road ahead of me. Can't wait to meet you all!

Hello. My name is Ola. I am coming back after losing 100 pounds and gaining it all back. A unique fact about me is that I am the one that started this group about over 6 years ago. I am so amazed that it grew to 16000 members. I love the positive influence of the posts and the management--beautiful.

Well. I am back 3 pounds less then what I started with in 2006 (279). By 2009, I had gotten down to 165. I want to tell you, it was wonderful and I want to get back there. So here I go. 1 pound a week. That is how I did it the last time, with God's help. I look forward to being successful.

Hi! My name is Therese, I'm swedish (so please excuse any wrong spelling, lol), I live in Tunisia and I have about 25 kg to lose.
Right now I'm following the lessons in "100 days of weight loss" by Linda Spangle, since I'm having trouble with the emotional aspect of eating.
I lost 20 kg in 2011-2012, but gained almost all of it back. I was only 10 kg away from my goal weight and I just gave up. Don't know why.
I have now lost 3.4 kg and I'm slowly getting into all this again, but I need accountability and support. I think part of the reason I gave up last time was because I stopped logging in here thinking I didn't need it, and that was a big mistake. The support here is amazing. emoticon

So anyway.. Thanks for having me on the team. emoticon

Hi,

My name is Callie and I have 55 lbs to lose. I am off to a great start with SP.

I am currently doing three official SP challenges.

SP Official Healthy Cooking Challenge (in week THREE), SP Official 'Eat Up, Slim Down' Challenge (in week THREE), SP
Official Stress Busting Challenge (in week ONE), and SP Official Better Sleep Challenge (in week ONE)

Here are the changes I have made so far:
1. Planning meals now
2. Drinking 2.2 L of H2O per day
3. Keeping fruit in bowls throughout my house
Lastly, Tracking my food calories with (wow....lots of work there, but gotta do it!) week one of SP Official 'Eat Up, Slim Down' Challenge
4. Working out every day;-) AND sharing on SP about it;-)

hi every one I am determined to get my weight back down no matter how slow ! I lost 108 lbs and kept it off for two yrs and this yr gained 20 ,i got off three ;got 17 more to lose!
