Thank you all for your kind words and support! Bell's blood work came back and was negative for FIP, FIV, and leukemia. It turns out she had a congenital liver disorder so as much as we miss her, we don't have to worry about Porter.

We decided that we wanted to add another cat and do it while Porter was still young so they could grow up together. We adopted Woodford on Sunday! He's a flame point Siamese who was born without a tail. He's got gorgeous blue eyes that are just the slightest bit crossed. He chose us as soon as we took him out of his cage. He's continuing to head butt me while I type this!

If it is to be, it is up to me.

Thank you all for your kind words and support. Bell passed quietly in her sleep at home last night. Her brother Porter is already missing her. We're hoping to get her bloodwork results today. We want to be sure it was nothing infectious that he might come down with.

Hi Jeanne! So sorry to hear about your little Bell. We had a liver scare with one of our cats a few years ago and through diet and medication, he pulled through. We weren't too hopeful when he got sick, but years later he is still here and going strong. So don't give up hope.

Your family sounds awesome and I congratulate you on saving those babies! Good luck and keep in touch and let us know how they are all doing. My prayers are going out to you.

Andrea

Hi! My name is Jeanne and I live in Georgia with a pair of dogs and a pair of kittens! The kittens are 6 month old silver tabby siblings and were adopted from the GA SPCA. Porter is my big, strong boy kitty, who thinks he's more of a puppy than a kitten. He loves to play with my Corgi pup Pippin. Bell is smaller and more cautious. Unfortunately, Bell is scaring us to death with some liver failure symptoms right now. We're waiting on more blood work to come in, but it looks like she has either FIP or a liver shunt. We're hopeful but not terribly optimistic about her prognosis. So for now, we spoil her rotten and try not to eat our feelings!

If it is to be, it is up to me.
