Hello, I live in Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada with my husband and we have 4 cats. Laurel and Hardy are 16 year old ginger tabbys who were found in a box outside of a grocery store, at 2 weeks of age. A lady brought them in to our vet and when my husband and youngest daughter went to the vet to get one of our dogs yearly shots, they were 5 weeks old and were going to be put to sleep the next day, since no one wanted them. So when my husband and daughter got home, my daughter told me about them and sight unseen I phoned the vet and said that we would take them. They had been named at the vet's so we kept the names and besides that, Hardy has an "H" on the top of his head from his tabby markings. Merlin is a beautiful large black cat, who is 6 years old and is lucky to be alive with all the medical problems he has had in the last few years, but he is doing really well now. Winston is a gorgeous gray long haired 5 year old cat, who was rescued from a bad home and would have been put to sleep if we hadn't taken him. We inherited Merlin and Winston when our youngest daughter passed away suddenly 2 years ago,at 27 years of age. She was the one who rescued Winston and was a great animal lover, as we are also. We hadn't planned on having any cats, just dogs, but things never quite go the way you think they will. We have had 2 other cats plus 4 dogs and a hedgehog, over the years, all of whom enriched our lives, but have passed along. We love our cats and they certainly make us laugh on a daily basis with their antics. I am very glad that these cats have come into our lives and I feel very fortunate indeed.
