I would have to agree with MDWHITLEY--Greeley would be cheaper but Fort Collins is just a nicer town. I have lived here a little over two years and I absolutely love it here! It seems like a very health-conscious town--bike lanes everywhere, people out running every day even when it's 2 degrees outside, that sort of thing...

Thank you very much. I have noticed that the housing in Greeley is cheaper. I appreciate all of the information you give me.

I lived in Greeley for 8 years before moving to Fort Collins in 2001. I still live in Fort Collins and work in Greeley so I'm in both communities every day.

In my opinion Fort Collins is a much nicer place than Greeley in almost every way. It's closer to the mountains, it's more attractive, the downtown is nicer, the university is bigger and better, there's better shopping and restaurants in Fort Collins... The list goes on and on.

The only advantage Greeley has over Fort Collins is the housing is cheaper but for me, it's worth the extra expense to live in Fort Collins.

Not everyone will agree but that's my take on it.

Hi everyone,

I am not new to Sparks, but I am having to start over. I don't currently live in Colorado, but am planning on moving to the Ft. Collins/Greeley area soon. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they think of the area. I currently live in Florida, but am originally from NY.

I don't know anyone in Colorado, but think that it is a beautiful state. However you know what they say. Sometimes a nice place is nice to visit, but you might not wanna live there. Anyway just thought I'd try to get some insight.

Also, on the dieting note, I am trying to get back in space after gaining a lot of weight from a medication I was on. I am trying to lose about 30lbs in total. I am currently 153lbs and my goal is 130lbs. I have already lost some of the weight, but still have some more work ahead of me. Hoping that I don't fall off track again. Exercise, eat healthy, be happy.
