WOW no more swimming for you. Can I ask what exactly it was that you didn't like about it? Just curious I nosey! LOL...

I have no doubt you will ROCK IT! It is getting down to the wire for our last final weigh in of December challenge. OMGosh on the Burn it Up! You were not KIDDING! I am seeing results b/c my waist is shrinking but b/c I am from LATINA background and we are HIPPY women it is making my hips look bigger, did you notice this? Also, I have not seen much on the scale but I am feeling GREAT and my clothes are fitting looser, I still have a couple of weeks left of this program and I will finish and FINISH STRONG. Still working on the food issues. I need to be better prepared on this aspect.

CONGRATS on the great progress of 5 lbs loss and going down in sizes with your clothes.

I think I have the old version of SI6 the one where she is wearing the shiny tiny shirt on the cover. Then I have additional ones that came with set from Amazon, Keep it Up, Mix it Up, Tear it Up and one more but I can't remember the name of it and I don't know what order to do these in except I know keep it Up says week 7 and on. What is she wearing on the covers of the ones you have? Since I am finding out there are different versions.

Hello everyone,

My name is Nancy. I did SI6 a long time ago. Im doing Slim Series now. I have lost the SI6 tapes and dont want to spend more money. I am restarting with Slim Series instead. I hope this is ok. I have aslo misplaced some of those DVD's so now I only have 3 of them. They are somewhere in my house I just need to keep looking. Some of them are long so I bought the Slim Series Express (about 30 minutes)

I lost about 5 pounds since I started a few weeks ago. I went from a size 14 to a size 12 jeans(tight, but they fit!)

Melina good job on posting your mid-way results. I too am PMSing BIG TIME. I have no doubt you will do great these last two weeks! YOU CAN DO IT!

Soooooo.....what's your result have you posted yet? Since this morning I only lost 1.6 lbs b/c I gained most of the 4 back that I had lost! :( How in the world did you lose 17 lbs in 6 weeks on SI6, am I doing something wrong? (Besides the eating awful part). Do you have the old version or the new version? I have the one where she has the shiny little slinky top on (all sorts of colors they look like squares) do you have this one or the newest one where she has on white top? Nat from our JM team has the newer version b/c we have been comparing. Though I do have the extra DVDs Keep it Up, Mix it Up, Tear it Up, etc. which I will continue with those when completely done with 6 weeks first but I would like to know what order those go in and/or how long I am supposed to do those, etc. etc. Do you know?

Well today was a great workout, tomorrow will be my last day for week 2 and Ramp it Up. Thursday starts Burn it Up for 4 weeks my worries are that I am going to get bored and give up, but I have already decided, committed and I know I will succeed. I went out last night and bought lots of fruis and veggies, nuts, grains etc. so that I can stay on track with my food/eating.

Well better get back to work, talked ya'lls ears off long enough.

UGH i feel the same way. Do you know I got on the scale today and I weighed 140! YIKES! I know I am not eating that good but NOT terrible. I asked the dr okay with hysterectomy it will ALL GO AWAY right? She said NOPE! Just the bleeding not the MONTHLY NORMAL symptoms! UGH UGH UGH...then I remembered this is about the time of the month I would have my normal cycle! No wonder I going bonkers on the eating part/comort food. YIKES AGAIN. And today is my REST DAY! I might just go home and walk for about 30 mins or do something, I only have 15 lbs to go and I want them off PRONTO! LOL...

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE TOMORROW, don't forget to weigh in.

We all have our bad days, the key is to learn from them and move on without beating yourself up. You know I was reading a really good book Truly Fed by Gari Meachum, and I have been finding this VERY TRUE. You know how we deny ourselves food we just end up binging on it later? She said don't deny yourself food or say I am not going to have any of this or that. If you want it, have a few bites and get it out of the way better this than binging on it later. It has worked for me, don't know if it will work with most ppl or not, b/c everyone is different. For example the cheesecake we have had at home from 19th y/o b-day I have had very little pieces in the evenings, like 2 bites and I am fine, had I told myself I was not going to have any, I would have ending up eating huge slices every evening until it was all gone. Does that make sense?

Happy Monday. How is everyone doing? Did you all have a good weekend and enjoyed that extra hour? I am really enjoying the SI6 w/o though I have to tell ya the 1st week is a challenge to get it in and get it done especially for being off 7 weeks from no exercise.

OH BOY HARDER! My arms already want to fall off. LOL....the parts that are sore the most are my arms, my groin and my booty, it feels hard as a rock! Which is a good thing! LOL.... I saw your post that you are the heaviest, you do so much workouts remember MUSCLE weighs more than fat. YOU ARE A SUPERSTAR!

I will offer this option; If you would like to keep the set, minus the bands, I will process the refund for the set ($42), minus the shipping. In other words, you can keep the set for $3.42, which was my actual cost for shipping and save yourself the trouble of doing the return.
I offer this just as an option and leave it completely up to you.

I was actually surprised that Start it up was only 25 minutes long, I was expecting to be working out an hour! But had I done that I would have keeled over! It was TOUGH! I was so happy they didn't use any weights. Don't know if it was tough b/c I have not worked out for so long, or b/c of the stitches still on the inside (hernia repair) or what. I had a really hard time doing the push-ups, which I never had a problem with before. I did have to be really careful with the AB section, it freaked me out a little bit all I could picture was my stitches opening up and husband coming home finding me in a puddle of blood, seriously? I did like the fact that they kept stressing on DVD and in the book materials GO AT YOUR OWN PACE, don't OVER DO IT or GO ALL OUT the first week. To really learn the form and get used to the movements.

Then right after that I did the Stretching part of the DVD and believe it or not I wanted to fall right asleep in the middle of it, it was so relaxing! I did like it and I look forward to doing it again the next 5 days. My Mondays will be my rest days and I will just do the stretching part that day.

I did take b4 pictures and posted them on my website, though I was not happy with the backside picture I was so upset over it last night. Hubby made me feel so much better, he said Maria you are a strong willed person, once you make up your mind to do something you do it! I know you will get back to where you want to be, you have done it before, you will do it again I have no doubt though you look beautiful NOW just the same! I love my hubby. Though, it did not help that I took the pictures right after my 1st SLIM n 6 workout and my legs were so swollen my thighs were rubbing together, yes this is normal due to the blood clot in my leg.

Tonight, I will go home and take measurements.

Maria how did everything go this evening? I agree with TWNOMWE just get him to send you the bands. I prefer the weights as well but the bands are easy to bring everywhere and they give you a different challenge actually I find them harder then free weights.

SOKKERNUT, emoticon on get your SI6. I think you should get your resistance bands. I have free weight (1 to 15 lb) and I use them more often than I use the bands but when traveling the resistances are more convenient and you paid for them. He should just ship them for free and as you said we are human and are bound to make mistakes, tell him no refund is needed.

Good Morning team,
Well last night got home around 10:00 p.m. (We went to church last night b/c one of our good friends was getting ordained as a deacon and they had special service for the men that were becoming decons and then of course we went out to dinner afterwards - Mexican food -yummy. Anyway, I went straight to the mail box and there was my Slim in 6 program. Everything was there except the resistance bands only had handles on them no band attached - weird when on the Amazon list said 4 B-lines resistance bands. So I emailed seller today and he felt so terrible about it he said I could keep the whole set for what he shipped it for $3.42 and would refund me the rest. I told husband I would feel terrible b/c we are all human, seller said he made a mistake and didn’t check the inventory completely before he posted it. So, I just going to tell him don’t worry about it (I like free weights anyway). What do you ladies think?

Good sleep does change everything! I was up for 3 hours night before last from 2:45. Alarm went off at 5:20 and I was SO MAD because I had just fallen asleep! Didn't get up to work out but at least I did walk 9 holes of golf :)

I slept better last night and got BIU in this AM though.

Sorry to hear you are still having problems with your back. Have you tried the Icy Hot wraps? They really do work.

Good Morning!!

I woke up this morning at 3:50am with the intention of working out. My back was feeling a little stiff so I decided to use heat to warm up the muscles before working out. Guess my body had other plans. I put the hot water bag on my back for what should have been 20 minutes... I woke up at 6:20am...lol. Oh well, there is always this evening.

Maria,Glad your workout is on its way! Can't wait to hear your reviews.

emoticon I just tracked my Slim in 6 program and it was processed at the USPS in Dallas, Texas yesterday at 2:39 p.m.! Dallas is only 5 hours from Houston so it will either be here today and/or TOMORROW! WHOO HOO Well at least I am hoping it will be here by no later than tomorrow, b/c I am so ready to start this program. I need to get back with it.

Great that you stuck it up SEELESSME! Perfect attitude!! I wish I could love BIU like you seem to do.

I need to work on getting more sleep this month. That will be my only goal outside of the regular exercising and eating properly.Any new goals for anyone else?

it is tough starting after resting for awhile.
As for me i just started RIU again today while i did slim and 6 pack last night.
I am still going to try to SI6 every other day.

Back on the wagon after 2 weeks! How is it that when you don't work out time flies and all of the sudden it is 2 week(!) since a workout! I was thinking of going back to RIU since I knew it would be tough starting back but I sucked it up and did BIU. I missed part of it when my DD came downstairs and needed something (scissor kicks/plank) but other than that did OK.

Still not sure what my "plan" is at this point. I have a slew of DVDs to choose from but have really been enjoying BIU and burning 700 cals each time is a good thing :)

I have "Keep it UP" but don't think I should switch to that until I actually have made progress LOL

Happy Halloween everyone and stay away from that candy!!

You are just on FIRE! I can't wait for my Slim in 6 to get here I keep checking the mail even though Amazon said it would arrive between 11/3-21/11! That's a long time if I don't get until 21st of November! Though this one even included the 1st set (along with Simple Steps to Succes book, 6 Day Express Diet Plan book, Step by Step nutriction guide book Keys to Success weekly chart and 4 b-lines resistance bands and cloth measureing tape AND 4 additional DVDs of Slim in 6 - Shape it Up, Tear it Up, Mix it Up, Keep it up for only 40 bucks! Said everything is new and unused. I just can't wait to get started.

Yesterday I did Zumba Cardio Party, Killer Buns and Thighs - Level 1 and Ripped in 30 - week 3.

Fire 45 on the schedule today but I am not going there after hurting my back with it on Wednesday...lol. I might do Cardio Party from TJ since it is lower impact and some Jillian workouts.

Thanks for the heads-up on the SI6 program and each level workout. Nope don’t have a problem with JM losing count! :) The reviews just the way they talked was awful about this program. Though the one thing they did say which I liked was the IT WORKS! I am all for doing a program that work. Hernia dr said it was possible for me to get another hernia on the opposite side so I really have to listen to my body (which I would close my ears to!) LOL.... Yeah they said about the music too, good to know I can listen to my own! :)

So, how is the team doing? Everyone sticking to their program?

Maria, I think Debbie is very consistent with her counting and if you put up with Jillian losing count (which she does), you can do Slim in 6. I agree with Melina to an extent that Slim in 6 is hard because Levels 1 and 2 are not so bad but Level 3 is a killer. The workout gets more intense and longer with each level. But by the time you reach Level 3, you should be stronger though. I also think that after doing Jillian's workouts, you won't find it as hard but the lack of upbeat music might make it a boring workout. I usually play my own music with Level 3. I find the other levels ok with her music. She is also conscious of your breathing and suggests way to make the exercises easier throughout the workouts. I wouldn't say it is a novice workout but you won't find Jillian's crazy moves.

Hi Maria & WELCOME!!!!

I find Slim in 6 a lot of hard work. Go at your own pace. I started out with walking 1 hour almost every day and now I walk 5 miles and SI6 every other day. When I don't have a lot of time I do JM 30 day shred it's a little harder then SI6 but SI6 is a lot longer.... I didn't notice Debbie losing count.

We're almost at the same weight and have around the same amount to lose.

Hello Team,
Hey Len! Thanks for turning me to Slim in 6! I bought it today from Amazon, should be here in about a week if not sooner, I cannot wait to start on it as it will get me back into the swing of things at an easier pace than JM and Jackie Warner.

My name is Maria, I am just getting back into exercising from having a hysterectomy and hernia surgery on 9/9/11 I was just released to exercise and I am trying my best not to over do it and start with something small, not saying that Slim in 6 is easy I am just used to ALOT more intense workouts and according to all the reviews I read it stated Slim in 6 worked BUT that it was boring and for novices. What you guys think? How do you feel about Slim in 6? I know Len has had success with this program when she first started what about anyone else? Many of the reviews also said that the instructor loses counts on the reps and you are doing alot more on one side than the other, do you guys find this to be true?

I am looking forward to getting to know you guys.

I agree. It depends on you activity level. When I do TurboFire, it recommends up to 1900 emoticon and I still have weight loss. I think 1200 is a minimum requirement meaning you shouldn't be eating below that if you want to lose weight. You can do calorie cycling on different days...like low calories (min. 1200) some days and high calories some days.

You can easily find this out on web. Many website ( google calorie counter).
If you are very active 1200 calories will not be enough, 1500 may be near about what you need.
I am same height as you and sparkpeople has me in range of 1200-1550 calories /day when I eat less than 1500 I am starving and end up looking for snacks. I Have also found that I lose weight when I stay near 1500 than the 1200 calories.
Experiment with the numbers and see where your body is happy and is willing to shed a few pounds. You are in the health range already.

I am trying to figure out how many calories to consume. I haven't been consistent with that. I usually, on a good day, consume around 1500. I think that's too high for 138 pound person (I am 5 feet 4 inches tall).

I heard Jillian on a show say that we should be consuming 1200 calories for weight loss.

How many calories do you consume? I think I should be eating between 1200-1400 depending how hard I worked out that day.

I would appreciate your thoughts on that.
