I just wanted to say "Hi" and "I'm Back". I did Slim in 6 about 4 years ago and was successful and kept with it through 2 rounds. Then I changed my program to different videos and started running. For the past year I have fallen off the wagon (and been driven over a few times) and have decided I need to start at the beginning again. I don't know if anyone is starting the program now, but if you are, I would love to have some accountability.

I hope everyone is still Pushing Play no matter where you are in your journey! :)

Holy Cow! I switched to Ramp it Up yesterday and I am SO sore today. I even had to stop a few times. There is a big difference between Start it Up and Ramp it Up. I'm not sure what I'm going to do today- I'm THAT sore. I may just push my way through it again. Excited to be working these muscles and making the fat disappear!

Hi my name is Gwenn and I have just let bad eating habits get the best of me. Last year I had some frustrating things happen. I decided to get healthy in August and try running. This led to a broken ankle. After I was a little healed, I was allowed to ride the exercise bike but I continued to eat poorly. Then I had surgery at the end of November and I was back to no workouts. Now I am cleared and ready to go! I tend to get pretty hard core with workouts, as my friends will say, but I'm learning to listen to my body and make myself start slow at first and build myself up. I started SI6 last Sunday.

Hi I'm Gina. Just joined SparkPeople last week. I bought Slim in 6 after my daughter was born in hopes of losing my baby weight. That was 4 years ago...I never actually started it. I steadily gained 10 lbs per year since then so I figure it's time to dig that puppy out and do something about it! Wish me luck!

Hi all! I am not new to this team, but I'm about to get back into working out within the next few weeks, I hope! I had my first baby 5 weeks ago and am hoping to be cleared to work out again soon. My body went through a lot during delivery so I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be back in the game next week. I plan on getting back into everything with sis! I need some major toning done and I know sis will help me shed the remaining 12 baby lbs plus some! See everyone in a week, I hope!!

Hi everyone,

I am a first timer here. And it is fun because these days I love trying new things.

Been trying out the Start it up workout for the last week but not consistently.
Today will be my official day 1. I am really hoping to add to my endurance capabilities and lose some weight.

According to some website, six weeks from today is 26 December 2013. The day after Christmas! What a great Christmas gift to me emoticon

I have been buried under work. :( I finally called pulmonary specialist today, have an appt on Valentine's Day (2/14) at 1:45 p.m., more tests for me so that they can actually pin point the exact lung disease and start treatment on it.

Thanks for the best laugh this afternoon! I needed it! Buried under work right now being gone so long, hardly anytime to do anything fun (i.e., Spark!) LOL...

Vacation was AWESOME! I will have to blog about it, usually I start then I don't ever finish this time I am determined to do so! LOL....

Too busy to even call specialist today to make an appt, hoping tomorrow is better so I can get that done, oldest son even got on to me about that today (I went to see him on my lunch break to give them their souvenoirs). :)

Just got back from vacation, really nice to be home BUT didn't want to come back! LOL.. only b/c I dread going back to work. Hello, I'm starting a new job next week and will have more time after work to spend on SI6. Getting back on track and getting in shape is my number one goal for Feb. Hoping the exercises will take the pressure off my knees from the pain from arthritis. Slow but steady. Good luck everyone.

Today I did Ramp it up and then decided I wanted to do Start it up before bed to get a lil extra workout in, since I didnt get to work out yesterday...felt great and its getting better everyday...hope every1 is making progress and losing inches :) emoticon

Hi Maria , that is great things worth having sometimes reqiures a little patience. Way to go.
I have been playing with Turbofire here and there and I am still doing 30 min workouts. Still walking with Leslie . However the weekend I was in Halifax and just walked and used sparkpeople videos. I am thinking to really get good music to do SI6 work outs.
Stay focused, enjoy the holiday feasts but not to overindulge.

Guess what? I went to Oshmann's yesterday and I bough the Supreme 90 for $9.99! I wasn't going to buy it at first b/c no prices and lines were long I could not believe how many ppl were there, especially when no prices on them whatsoever, I finally asked employee if they could look it up, it didn't come up on his scanner so he had to take it to register he finally tried 3 register and it was $9.99 I said I will take it, then had to get in the huge line but it was worth it, I can't wait to start it so see what all the excitement has been about it with you! LOL...

Hey Len,
Yeah I had seen these on Beachbody and what they are. I have several of the Series DVDs already except for maybe 3 that came with the original SI6 as a bonus off Amazon.

And none of the videos on the back or on ANY website even beachbody say HOW you are supposed to rotate them and/or how long you do one for. You know like JM on hers in the back it tells you exactly do this 3x a week,etc. even JW on hers too but nothing on these. I like to try to follow some type of schedule but there doens't seem to be one for these, do you get what I am saying? You know like Insanity or PX90 it has calendar and tells you what do you which days. That is what I am looking for in SI6Series. Does that make sense?

Totally understand being busy especially at this time of the year. I am trying to be really good with December eating habits. I have a questions, there is Slim n 6 and then to continue the journey there is Slim n 6 series. Have you done these? The reason I am asking is that b/c it just states these are the videos but NOT any type of schedule or for how long to do each one etc. (I guess I have to figure out this on my own) I even tried researching it online but nothing except reviews. Thanks Len,
I have decided to just take the week off from exercise until I am finished with antibotics (Z-pak) but just do 30 mins of light/easy walking at least to get some sort of exercise in.

Thanks Len,
He said I had the flu with a throat infection (not strep they did swab) dr said we caught it early before it turned into strep. So I am home sick again today, I cannot go back to work until Monday. He gave me antibotics and said lots of REST and LIQUIDS. So that is what I am doing. Which will put me further back with Slim in 6 program BUT I am listening to my body and what the dr said b/c I don't want to relapse I just want to get better.

Thanks Len,
I think I have the flu. I called in sick today from work and hubby MADE me PROMISE that I would NOT workout today to take today as my REST DAY, and I keep my promises so I will do that today. All I want to do is stay home in bed, wish the dr would have had an earlier appt but the earliest was 2:30 p.m. :( There is something going around so he really busy today. :(

Off to weigh and post in challenge.

Thanks for the info Len, that makes me feel so much better! I love working out my ABs but I want to do it right.

Now, next question, there is a rule when you are sick for working out but for the life of me I cannot remember right now...when is it okay to workout when you are sick and when is it NOT okay to workout when you are sick? Something about from stomach down/stomach up kinda thing from what I remember JM saying.

I am asking b/c today I barely made it through my workout, my sinuses have turned into a cold and I wanted to throw up anytime I was doing the leg floor exercises and the Abs or if I was laying down I also wanted to throw up, only time was when I was standing or sitting up that I felt fine. I think I might also be running a low grade temperature, but didn't check my temps before I left for work.

I remember Chalene Johnson saying your Ab muscles can be trained everyday as they can bounce back s I don't think it is a problem. If you look at Jillian's 6w6p, she has the workout scheduled for 5-6 days a week. I think you are good!

Migraine still here :(...but checking in with TJ's 20 minutes with weighted gloves, Zumba Sculpt and Tone with toning sticks and 6w6p L2.

I totally hear ya on that one Len!
Though it has taken me years to get to this point and very blessed with my husband's salary honestly I don't know what makes me stay here, I guess I know it so well I could do this job with my eyes closed. Maybe I am afraid for change, I like things to stay the same but not stay the same, does that make sense? I know I crazy. What I would really like to do is be a personal trainer for WOMEN and help them but also witness to people at the same time (not in an overbearing way or anything). I ordered the study at home one from ACE in January of this year and studied for like about 2 months and then I life came into the picture! LOL...so I sill have the materials but that you have to be really dedicated to the studying part and with working, taking care of a family and taking care of myself it seems like there is no time. :(

I have a question on the Slim n 6, now everywhere I read it says that you don't do crunches everyday but yet the Burn it Up has it at the end and I do it everyday even when I am doing the Slim n 6-pack 3x a week. What do you think about this? I do give them 1 REST DAY a week. I don't know maybe I am thinking too much on this, I just want to do it right, if you know what I mean.

UGH Monday what can I say? Going to be a crazy work week with boss coming back from being gone all last week and we have deadlines to get out today. Friday at least I get to leave early for doctor's appts. I really need to find another line of work, it is sad when I would rather be at dr appts getting poked and prodded!

That is great what Shaun T says! I have Insanity, have had it for 2 years but b/c of my blood clog in leg I can't do that just yet, I am working up to it. Though I did preview it and I loved that too that they had to stop for breaks.

Well today I added the Thin Thighs guaranteed since I had extra time since off work for Thanksgiving. And I really like that part short and sweet and I could have actually done that part again! LOL...

Thanks Maria! I loved writing that blog.

Checking in with TJ's 20 minutes, 6 week, 6 pack - L2 and OMG!!! Fast and Furious from Insanity!!! This workout is sick!! I loved it although I spent a lot of time trying to breathe!! Now I am thinking about Insanity...if only my back can manage it. I love how Shaun T and the guys in his video have to stop to catch their breaths too!! It is intense!! Shaun T says 'my goal is not to kill you but for you to kill yourself' haha! loved it!

We are so much alike! I don't think I could do the underwater breathing either. I am not sacred of water I think I scared my sister in Hawaii b/c I would get close to waves coming in she thought I would fall off rock and drown but that rush is AWESOME! LOL.... Also, she knows I don't know how to swim. I tell her life is too short to be afraid of things.

Thanks for the tip on the hippy thing. I do like my clothes are fitting smaller. I still have some pants I need a little bit further to go before they are not snug.

You gave me a great idea for December challenge especially with Christmas food! LOL... December will be NUTRITION MONTH, aren't I just terrible! LOL....Might as well start early and not say OH WELL I WILL START IN JANUARY, if you know what I mean. I used to do that alot and pig out all througout the holidays.

breathing or not under the water...plus I am naturally scared of the water.

I am hippy too, I lost inches off the butt but hips didn't budge much...lol. I did not realize how much weight I lost with SI6 until close to the end so don't worry about it plus inches are also good.

I am going to work on nutrition issues too.
