Just returned to sp,got a lot to lose and in need of getting in shape for serious health reasons,I am 55,disabled ,a grandmaw to 3 beautiful grandbabies,I have many interest and talents and hobbies but have not dabbled in any of them in a long while,I struggle with chronic pain,heart disease and bipolar depression,I have been with my current mate for 5yrs,we have 2 fur babies,Tali our cat and Bristol our rescue mutt.I struggle with working out and sp keeps me encouraged,looking forward to getting and giving support,oh I almost forgot to mention I live in Lehigh.

Hi all! My name is Nikki and I have just re-started Spark. Was doing well, but got "busy" with life to have time to devote to working on myself. I am here to lose weight and find, as well as offer, support to others that are looking to do the same. I am also quitting smoking and usually, along with that goes the weight gain, so this will be doubly hard, but I am up to the challenge! Being a Mom, homeowner, wife and full time professional it is easy at times to prioritize yourself and your needs last.... NO MORE! I will take the time that I need each day to work towards my personal goals! If anyone would like to share thoughts, ideas, recipes, motivational tips, or just needs a friend to talk to - drop me a line! I am not too familiar with the communication tools available here yet, as I never previously used them when I was on Spark, but I feel like this time around I really need to network with others to try and make it more of a "team effort" and to keep myself in check. Thanks for reading and I look forward to meeting you!

Hi there. Lehigh Acres here. I have been gone for a while. I have been a member of this group, but had to deal with my daughter being gluten intolerant for a few years. I have had such a real up and down time with her and now I have to get back to me. I was doing so good before and had just forgot to take care of me in the process. Looking forward to getting back into the groove again.
I cannot stop trying, then is when I will fail. Keep looking to the almighty for strength and one day you shall find exactly what you have been looking for. We can only love the people around us as much as we love ourselves. We must start with the person that we are looking in the mirror at every day. One day at a time was not only a show, but was a path we must follow to get to where we need to be.
DON'T FORGET TO LOVE YOURSELF FIRST.

Hellllllllo! Cape Coral here! I've lived in the area for 30 yrs, (I'm 40-mumble) originally from Chicago and I answer to Brat. I blame my Northern upbringing on my truly deplorable sense of humor but I'm completely harmless and love making new friends of all ages! I used Sparkpeople to meet a weight loss goal a few years ago, and then got lazy--I excel at being lazy.... (LOL...my best excuse for not working out: 'it's hot, can't work out when it's HOT!') Anyway, mom of a grown son and an 8 yr old daughter, I'm working a high stress job, been working a LOT of hours and somedays I'm at my desk from 8 to 8. I'm thoroughly frustrated by the scale, and find it to be a complete discouragement to me in my plan to 'get rid of the weight' (upon one weigh in I opened my front door and sent the scale across the yard and into a heap by the garbage can, but that was purely a defensive move on my part) . I enjoy tracking my food and fitness on Spark, but rather then jumping on the scale, my goal involves staying active and meeting my workout goals each month and adding to them as I get into shape. LOL...I'll know when it's safe to stop on the scale again. Realistically I'm looking to drop from 20 to 30 lbs, and fit into my skinny clothes again!

Hi. My name is Audrey and I'm 57 years old. I moved here last October from Chicago as my husband had opened a business on Sanibel (which is now defunct). I am looking for a new job here as an HR professional. I was most recently the Recruiting Manager for a company that manufactures medical devices in a suburb of Chicago. I was doing great on my program until I moved here, started eating my feelings and messed up the IT band in my right leg. I'm back on plan, my leg is better and I am working out at LA Fitness in Estero.

My name is Lisa. I'm 27 years old. Moved down to Fort Myers almost two months ago with my boyfriend, Ryan. I graduated from my community college on Long Island, NY in May with my associates in Exercise Science and will be attending Florida Gulf Coast University next month to get my bachelors and hopefully move onto the Physical Therapy program there! I am also a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor through ACE and am working on getting my Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant certification in the near future. I have been a vegetarian for eight years. I think that's about it!
