Hello, My name is Georgia, and I am overweight.
bah, my wii fit says "That's obese!" when I get on, but I don't let it bug me. I have a really big ego about my body image. I'm hot. I'm sexy. I'm the best person in the world.
But when it came down to it, I got winded going up the stairs.
I had to take rest breaks when out shopping.
Walking around a lot hurts my lower back.
This sucks. I want to play with our new baby when he's old enough. I want to chase him! Ride bikes! Hike!
So, a few months after me and the spouse watched numerous documentaries on weight loss on netflix (because I found them fascinating) I decided it was time. Time for Operation:Healthy Lifestyle.
That was November 1st. Now I'm 14lbs down, and inch and a half gone, and building arm muscles.
I have always been overweight. I was 222 in high school. Then college happened. I dropped down to 205 (the lowest I can remember) because of a hilly campus and almost daily trips to the river (can anyone guess where I went to school in Texas?). Yes, I owned a bikini. 2 of them! I was a buxom, blonde, bombshell of a babe.
Then I got a desk job. 3 years later I sat at 276 when my mom called to say she was finally under 300lbs after 20 years. I thought, (expletive) no way I'm going to weigh more than her, and dropped down to 250 where I've stayed for 4 years. It's not enough. Granted, it's good enough to be less than her, but I can't be that much for Texas. (That's my son's name, not the state, although as a Texan, I should have more pride in my appearance and maintain a better lifestyle. tsk tsk)
I bought the cookbook so that we can eat healthier I know it is our diet that is the downfall. I was eating 20 nuggets, large fries, a coke, AND a pie. I have a feeling my husband will finally be joining me after the new year. I've been feeding him fresh veggies and low cal meats and he's starting to get used to it. He said McDonalds makes him feel heavy and slow now. ha ha ha :)
So, continuing on Operation:Healthy Lifestyle.
now, if only I had time to exercise properly... :-/
