It is extremely difficult to schedule in fitness time. I work from 7:30-4:30pm M-F & go to school Tues & Thursdays from 5:30-9pm. I have to schedule time for homework, housework, family time, and workouts in between then as well. I'm not complaining because I know there are people WAY BUSIER than me getting in their runs, their workouts, and loosing tons of weight. I just sometimes wish I could live in a selfish bubble for even just 2-3 months where I can focus on nothing other than ME and my weight loss efforts. It gets frustrating trying to be active and healthy so many other things come up as priorities or social responsibilities from time to time. It would be nice to live in my own little world for a little while. LOL But I consider myself blessed to be able to do all that I can because there are so many people searching far and wide for jobs and others that dont even get the option of a higher education and I have both so I'm blessed. =)

That is awesome, a good goal, I am impressed. It is difficult to put fitness on a schedule for me and I have let it slide. I usually work 9:30 am till 3 Saturdays. emoticon your doing great!

I believe the CASA Super Hero Run is next weekend on the 13th. I think I'll be doing that one, but still not 100% sure. There's also The Tejon Challenge for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in May. And I know there are others, but those are the two on my calendar. My husband and I are trying to do one each month.

I'm so into 5K's right now. That's the only thing I can think of. We all commit to a 5K, cheer each other on on trainings, maybe get together once a week or at least a few times a month to train together and then complete it together as a SparkTeam =D

Unfortunately our SparkPeople Bakersfield team has been lagging =( You can add me as a friend and I'll be here to cheer you on, but as far as a group to meet with, I'm sorry but there is none. We've tried starting one up several times, but never have any participation.

I am new to Sparkpeople :) I have been successful using the Lose It app on my iphone, but have gained 20 pounds back after loosing 120. I am looking for some kind of support group since I am really struggling. Anyone know of a team or group who meets in Bakersfield?
