Hey everyone! I'm Adriana and new to spark people, but I've been in Tucson a few years. I've been trying on my own, unsuccessfully, to lose weight as long as I can remember. So I figured I need someone or something to hold me accountable. Here's to a fresh start!

Hey all. I'll be moving to Tucson soon so I figured I'd join the group early. I was born in NY though I have spent time in Tucson and do have family out there. Looking forward to getting the dirt of my bicycle for some early morning rides and would welcome any suggestions as to where to go.

Hello all,
I'm not new to this site, but have been gone for a while. Didn't even have this team last time I checked. But I am a native to both Arizona and Tucson. Only been back in Tucson for a little over a year. Currently using another online weight loss plan along with walking and using SparkPeople. Maybe the extra support will help. I'm definitely a night owl as well... I'm a student by day, and an overnight stocker at night.... So I totally know what you mean about being awake all the time, not to mention I also have a 2 year old daughter who keeps me going! There's days when I get home from school and pass out on the couch cause I'm to exhausted to do anything else... I usually don't get a workout in on those days :( but I try to avoid doing that, while I'm driving home from school I convince myself that working out will give me a lot of energy and make me feel 100x better, and it really does! I've noticed that if I don't work out before I go to work, I'm really sluggish and I can't keep up with the work that I have to do. However if I work out before I go to work, (I go to work at 11p and workout usually around 5-6p) then I have tons of energy and I'm pretty much running around the whole store (lol).

I am new to Spark people also. Just signed up and am ready to get moving. I was a big supporter in the South Beach diet on line and liked it and liked the support. Now I am looking forward to local support also. I work nights and am up for crazy amount of hours like 36 hrs straight so exercise and eating well are put aside. I am here to change this. Is there anyone else out there that is a night owl like me???

Hi everyone. I'm new to sparkpeople and the team. I'm a 3rd year law student that started getting back into shape this past year. Lost and have maintained 12 lbs since January 2010.

I was using Myplate, but I think spark people, along with the local teams, will be an easier way to stay accountable and working out. I'm using p90x and jogging, along with tracking calories and eating healthy, to get back in shape.

Was a size four when i started law school. I got up to a size twelve, and am currently down to a size 8. So close, but I'm finding these last 10-15 lbs are going to require much more work to lose and maintain. Hopefully chatting with a local group of people will help me stick to my workouts when my schedule gets really hectic.
