Hi my name is Kathy, 43, married with grown kids.
I was born with a congentital heart defect and had a mitral valve surgery at 6months old. Then at 11 I experienced a heart attack and they found my aorta was narrowing (known as a coarctation). They fixed it and I was good as new. Went years eating my way through life issues been clean 10yrs from a meth habit OD twice. Now I am extremely morbidly obese.
Was recently hospitalized with cellulitis. They checked my heart and found the coarctation back.I am scared to death right now. I have had high blood pressure for a few years but quack doc never thought of sending me to a cardiologist. So here I am really thinking about what I am eating. I have a busy lifestyle once I am off bedrest.
OK too long. Long story short, I would love to have friends and support who understand where I am coming from right now.
In a prebariatric program hoping to get approval for weight loss surgery.
