I'm traveling for the Christmas Holidays and I had forgotten what snow was like till we got up here. We are currently in Weippe, ID. Snow is knee deep and I'm freezing. But I am still getting out there and walking....Linda

Hi Linda. Welcome to the team! I'm trying to avoid bad knees too! But, they already ache and I need to relieve pressure by losing weight too!

I suppose you can do most any lower body and core workouts. I don't know if you are able to grasp or hold anything with your left arm, but I really found resistance bands easier for me than dumbbells....

Welcome to the group! If you look under the general board there is a thread called "exercises while sitting" and :exercises while in bed" You may find some things you can do in there.

Can you do leg lifts without weights? I know a leg weighes a lot!

My name is Linda - I'm a left below elbow amputee, my knees have been giving me a lot of problems due to osteoarthritis. My doctor is considering knee replacement, which I don't want yet. So, I hope losing my excess pounds will relieve the stress on my knees and be able to put it off a lot longer. So I need to watch what exercises I pick out to do. Got any ideas???
