Welcome. When I started walking, I chose a trail that was a bit from my house. I didn't want to be the subject of neighborhood discussion, especially if I wasn't able to continue.
The first weeks were difficult. I took my dog who literally dragged me up the small hills and along the trail. I would come home exhausted after fifteen minutes.
I persisted and there was another woman I would meet on the trail several times a week. Over the summer, I watcher her shrink. She was losing that belly and doing it well. I didn't realize that I was doing the same thing because I didn't see me walk.
Keep going. It really works. It does get easier as well.
