Welcome. One of the neat things about this team is that you can "work up" to the goal steps. Get your pedometer on and walk a few days without trying to walk more. Then, with your "base steps" you can plan to walk a few hundred more steps a week until you have reached your goal.
The pedometer really helps me reach my goals as I can look at the pedometer and see where I am during the day. I can then either take a short walk or plan some other activity if I'm low, but if I'm ahead, I can smile and pat myself on the back and get back to moving.
