Melissa, my Omron had an incident (may have included a battery change) but it had corrupted data and I could not download my steps for over 2 months (battery died and I didn't download before changing the thing two weeks after I last downloaded) so any steps I had logged at a different site were used to keep track.
It doesn't hurt to get a little "type a" at times. I have never had this happen before, but when it did, I read up on it and just waited until the corrupted data had "expired" and was able to download. The thing worked correctly and had the 7 day memory. Just lost a few days of data.

Welcome to our growing team! I also have an Omron pedometer which really wasn't that much more than some of the other ones out there that track your calories expended, etc. However, I also keep track of my steps here. If you go to "My Fitness", & select "Change Fitness Goals", it allows you to check a box next to step tracker. This gives me a second place to record my steps & set goals - I'm a little type A & need back ups LOL!
Welcome & can't wait to learn more about you - enjoy our team!!
