Welcome. Remember that this is your own journey and you can decide how you want to take it. I wore a pedometer for a few days before starting to increase my steps to see where my baseline was. I then tried adding a couple of hundred steps per day each week until I was at my goal. It is not that hard to add a few steps even when you are at a desk all day. Parking a little farther from the door, walking during lunch, using the copy machine on another floor or the rest room on another floor are great ways to add a few steps to your day. Walking in place when on the phone or brushing your teeth also helps.
The steps add up and you will reach your goal.
