I've been on SP for over 1.5 years & this is the BEST team yet. You don't have to push to get to 10K steps until you're ready, every small step is a step forward is my motto! Right now the best thing you can do for yourself is to allow yourself the time to improve without calling yourself a failure. Failure is only when you refuse to try - you joined SP, you are trying & you joined this team, you are trying - give yourself a pat on the back & take 1 small step forward. You are worth it - you deserve good health!

Welcome to the team! I have discovered that joining some teams and trying to be active in them has helped me quite a bit. At least it keeps me on SparkPeople more than Facebook, lol, and being here on SparkPeople more at least helps keep my health at the forefront of where I spend my time. And don't worry about not being able to do 10,000 steps yet ... start where you are, do what you can, and move on from there :) Have a great day!

I've been a SP member for awhile, but never really an active participant. This could be why I keep falling off the "wagon" lol
Anyways, I do most of my walking on the treadmill... but 10,000 steps ... I've only made it to a little over 3000. I once tried the "Couch to 5K" program but never made it. Fail, fail, fail! I am soooo tired of this body!
