Welcome. I wore my pedometer a few days to figure out just how many steps I was "normally" taking and set goals to add 200 steps to my daily goals every week. Trying to get the 10,000 if you are normally getting 5,000 or less a day can cause you pain and actually slow down your progress.

I am Heidi have two teens and a toddler. I just got my pedometer yesterday already amazed at how many steps I take on my short walk and playing at the park with my lil man. I am at 248 and will get down to a healthy weight. I struggle but am looking at why I struggle and working on it. I look forward to hitting 10000 steps by next week and go from there.
